There are challenges faced in the field of auditing that have already been studied and exposed in the literature, with direct consequences on the auditor's daily life. This research work proposes, as main objective, an Information Architecture for Government Internal Audit, in the light of Distributed Records Technology (DLT), which enables an audit environment with data security, integrity and transparency. The specific objectives are: i) to identify components of the proposed information architecture; ii) correlate scientific models with the proposed information architecture; and iii) describe the conceptual integration of Distributed Records Technology to the proposed information architecture. The research proposal appropriates the theoretical framework of Information Science and its interdisciplinarity to integrate the disciplines of Government Auditing and Information Technology to achieve the objectives. The research is exploratory, has practical purposes and a qualitative approach. The exploratory bibliographic survey constitutes the procedure for preparing the literature review. Data collection took place through structured interviews with auditors. The analysis of results is supported by statistical elements sedimented in the literature, such as Cronbach's Alpha, Likert Scale, histograms and non-parametric methods, such as Mann-Whitney and Chi-Square, allowing subsidies for the use of the Flexible Systems Methodology for the construction of conceptual models. The following findings in the field of Information Organization stand out: i) need for the discipline of Information Organization based on information classification; and ii) metadata must be participatory elements in the process of identification, description and retrieval of audit work papers. Regarding Information Security: i) transparency of information must be exercised, obeying due legal criteria; and ii) there is no Information Management System that guarantees transparency, that allows tracking of information, that offers security to the auditing process and to the auditor and that mitigates data integrity risks. Related to Information System Planning, the Audit Information Management System must: i) ensure inviolability and traceability of information; ii) be rigidly tied to business processes and rules; and iii) operate in compliance with legal aspects. As a result, the Information Architecture Model for Governmental Internal Audit (M2AI-G) is proposed, structured in three layers, seven pillars and an interface. The proposed model equates problems related to data security, integrity and transparency, in addition to satisfying the needs of auditors. It supports the organization of information in areas of Governmental Internal Audit.

Promulgated as federal law, respectively, in 2011, the Access to Information Law (LAI) and, in 2018, theGeneral Law of Personal Data Protection (LGPD), both have as a common denominator the goal ofregulating access to information in Brazil. This dissertation has the general objective of identifying in theLAI and in the LGPD references to informational subjects aiming to analyse the intersections and/ordifferences in the way these subjects are presented in both laws. The guiding hypothesis of the researchis that both laws presuppose an informational subject, one in the collective domain (LAI) and the other inthe individual domain (LGPD). The corpus of the research comprised bills and the definitive legislationon LAI and LGPD, as well as interviews with selected individuals. The methodological proceduresconsisted of surveying the relevant legislation to identify how the informational subject appears in bothlaws; surveying the names of people directly involved in the drafts of the two laws; drafting a semi-structured interview script and conducting the interviews. The research data were analysed according tothe content analysis proposed by Laurence Bardin (1977), comprising three basic steps: pre-analysis,material exploration, and treatment and interpretation of information. It is concluded that theinformational subjects in the LAI and LGPD texts are distinct. In the case of LAI, It is referred to as"interested" and "requester", described as a subject that accesses, inquires and demands publicinformation. On the other hand, in the LGPD, there is a "holder" and "singular" subject, who consents ornot on the access and use of their information. Thus, from a comparative perspective, we see theconstruction of a collective and active subject in the role of citizen, in the case of LAI, and an individual and passive subject, whose role is to consent or not, rectify or deny access and use of their personalinformation. Finally, it is questioned to what degree it can be said that there is an informative self-determination of the holder of personal data as provided in the LGPD.

This research aims to analyze how the use of the electronic administrative process at the University of Brasilia impacted on the procedures and technical operations of records management, in order to understand whether records management has changed in the digital environment. The methodology adopted in this research is descriptive and qualitative, as the data collection technique is a case study from the reality observed at the University of Brasilia. The comparative analysis of the context prior to the implementation of the electronic administrative process with the context after its implementation had as its main reference the performance of the archivists of the Coordenação de Gestão de Documentos in the development of archival functions creation, classification, evaluation and description. To understand the aspects related to archival governance, an interview was conducted with the Director of Arquivo Central. As a result, it was observed that the context of production of digital archival documents requires the archivist to reflect on the fundamentals of the area and the best way to apply them in the treatment of digital records. Considering the problem of this research, it can be concluded that the records management did not change in the digital environment, it had to adapt to the new environment, in view of the specificities of the digital records. The electronic administrative process fostered new theoretical and methodological reflections on how to perform the procedures and technical operations of records management in the digital environment in the Sistema Eletrônico de Informações(SEI). Considering the general objective of the research, it is concluded that the main impacts of the electronic administrative process on the management of records of UnB were the greater qualification of records management carried out by the university, the greater approximation of all university workers with archival practice when using the SEI and the promotion of discussion on the management of the digital records in a broad sense in the context of UnB.

Government open data initiatives aim to increase transparency government, reduce corruption and engage civil society in government decision-making government, making data collected by federal, state and municipal, to the public for free use, reuse and redistribution. In Brazil, Law No. 12,527, of 2011, known as the Access to Information Law and Decree nº 8,777, of 2016, which established the Open Data Policy of the Federal Executive Branch are legal instruments that guide and institutionalize open government actions in the country. Linked to the Ministry of Education - MEC, federal universities are subject to compliance with the Open Data Policy of the Federal government; In this sense, the main objective of this research is to analyze the opening of data from Brazilian federal university libraries, considering what prescribes open government initiatives and the provisions of current Brazilian legislation, using as a parameter of performance indicators for libraries modified by the ISO standard 11620:2014. The methodology was divided into two stages, the first with the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the data made available by the libraries in the Data Monitoring Panel Open and on the Brazilian Open Data Portal; in the second stage, the questionnaire was applied as a data collection instrument, with the research universe being the 69 universities Federal agencies linked to the MEC. Analysis of the collected data reveals that the majority of Brazilian federal universities do not include in their Open Data Plans and in the opening of their data, data about their libraries, which highlights the non-compliance with the provisions of manual of good practices prepared by the Comptroller General of the Union and the low representativeness of libraries in these important sources of information for society. The responses to the questionnaire showed that the libraries collected data, produced reports and use their own mechanisms for disseminating their results, but their participation in open data activity within the institution is still limited, having great potential to expand its involvement in promoting transparency and access to information within of the institution.

This work addresses the topic of digital preservation, which has gained critical relevance in the era of digital information, necessitating a modernization of traditional practices and concepts in record-keeping. Technological obsolescence poses a particular challenge, jeopardizing the integrity and authenticity of digital objects. The ISO 16363 standard emerges as a significant regulatory mechanism, establishing stringent criteria for the auditing and certification of trustworthy digital repositories. Implementing this standard in digital preservation repository software has the potential to significantly elevate security and compliance standards, thereby positively influencing user trust and encouraging broader system adoption. The primary objective of this dissertation was to analyze and propose digital object management requirements for the study and construction of digital object management software in reliable digital preservation environments. This was evidenced through an analysis of the Tainacan software, in relation to the evaluated items, which demonstrated shortcomings in the selected criteria, emphasizing the necessity for enhancements for its qualification as a reliable digital repository. The normative framework of ISO 16363 provides a robust foundation for effective audits and successful certification processes, serving as a robust tool for quality control and governance. Tainacan's eventual compliance with these guidelines could revolutionize digital preservation and access practices. In addition to extending its applicability, this could benefit a wide range of stakeholders, including academics and institutions, who are focused on efficient preservation and enduring access to digital data and objects.

Audiovisual records make up a large part of the documentary collection of the institutions. The characteristics of the media of audiovisual documents often induce the producer and receiver of the documentation to store them in different places due to the needs of conservation and access. When a documentary set is dismembered, understanding of the links between the document is lost. Generally, one part ceases to make sense to the institution and the other, although it can be used, lacks more accurate information. Depending on the function of the record, it may even lose its probative, discal and/or administrative value. The lack of records management in an institution can cause a lack of control of document production, difficulty in defining an appropriate destination and, consequently, the impossibility of access. The audiovisual documents, as well as the other archival documents, compose an organic set that justifies their existence and fulfills a mission, in addition to relating to a whole for the complete understanding of its purpose of creation and processing. The objective of this research is to analyze the document management applied to audiovisual documents in the Federal Public Ministry (MPF), through the Federal Attorney General's Office (PGR). The research is of a qualitative, analytical and comparative nature, based on bibliographic and documentary sources, using the interview technique for field research to be carried out at the aforementioned institution, whose answers will be compared with the bibliographic sources. A comparison will be made between what guides archival principles and concepts regarding the management given to archival documents of the audiovisual genre and what is carried out in practice by the MPF. As a result, we found that the institution analyzed has a Document Management Policy and, although recommendations for the management of archival documents are found there regardless of their support,

Considering new approaches in archival description, highlighted by the International Council on Archives' (ICA) adoption of the semantic web through the development of the conceptual data model Records in Contexts (RiC), the research addresses the lack of systematization in studies on the benefits that such technological innovation offers to archives, as well as the introduction of emerging concepts such as multidimensional description and an expanded view of the principle of provenance. The study is dedicated to the analysis and systematization of both the significant updates in archival description and the ecosystem of semantic technologies incorporated into the RiC model, including the Entity-Relationship (ER) model, the semantic web itself, and Linked Open Data, along with their respective standards and protocols. The state of the art of the RiC model's application in international initiatives is also investigated. Through a qualitative and exploratory approach, employing techniques such as content analysis and the application of questionnaires, it is observed that although the RiC model presents challenges in implementation when compared to the ICA's traditional description standards, and requires new qualifications for archivists and professionals in the field, it provides substantial advantages for the structuring of new 'entities' and the mapping of their interrelationships. In the realm of digital documents, the RiC emerges as a potent technology that enhances the preservation of contexts inherent to the production, maintenance, and use of archives, thereby strengthening access and expanding the possibilities for the use and reuse of archival data.

Nowadays, we are experiencing phenomena of virtualization and the ephemerality of information, which will bring new configurations to the organization of work and the accumulation of knowledge in institutions. Digital preservation practices in the institutions' collections must be carefully observed, especially concerning the preservation of the memory of present events, which is primarily constructed in a virtual environment, to ensure the recovery of information and the longevity of institutional memory. Digital preservation needs to be constantly questioned due to the quick technological obsolescence and to the challenges related to selection and preservation methods. From this perspective, memory centers emerge as strategic entities for institutions in terms of preserving institutional memory. The main objective of this research is to reflect on the preservation of institutional memory, relating it to the use of information and communication technologies in digital archival documents in institutional memory centers, based on the assumption that technologies help in the process of preserving institutional memory. This research primarily utilizes a qualitative, exploratory approach, with a literature review as the method. This article presents reflections on the preservation of institutional memory in the digital environment, particularly in relation to Memory Centers, mainly through the proper use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The universe of the research is the Network of Marist Memory Centers, from which the sample of units to be analyzed was drawn.

The need to know has been a constant in society since ancient times. Its intensity has increased inversely proportional to the spaces of time in which evidence of availability of information for the construction of knowledge is noticed. There was a time when it was the privilege of few to access content capable of generating a knowledge construct. Nowadays, given the evolution of society that broke barriers and allowed universal access to information niches, scientific or not, the construction of knowledge has proven to be more dynamic and facilitated by various means and tools that have made information a strategic resource. able to be made available instantly and without physical boundaries. The present work addresses the use of digital platforms for the dissemination of scientific production, periodicals, archival documents and historical and cultural imagery in a broad way, contributing to the construction of knowledge. Addresses Information Management as a means of boosting the intellectual assets of institutions today, representing their values to society. In this context, a public institution is presented as a cutout to highlight Information Architecture as a factor of great importance to enable the sharing of informational objects, guaranteeing the completeness and authenticity of its contents, based on the use of Distributed Ledger Technology. The concepts of the Open Access Movement are used, covering the ways that characterize the form of content availability (Green and Gold), Information Architecture, Information Management and Blockchain as Distributed Ledger Technology. It’s this democratization of information that we seek to point out as necessary for characterizing informational synergy in the construction of knowledge. The use of open source software to delimit the experience of a shared informational management attests to a wider range of communication in society by providing more accessible means for public producers and consumers of information. The conceptual model proposed in this research points to the possibility of using a Distributed Ledger Technology systems as a way to guarantee the integrity of the document flow and emerges as a solution for the authenticity and preservation of the contents of repositories to be made available to society. The democratization of information emerges as a proposal for informational synergy capable of transcending the limits of conservative institutions and enabling the construction of broader knowledge.

Facing the communication difficulties faced by people without orality (oral part or spoken use of a language), the possibility of simulating real world models in a computational way capable of reproducing or emulating human characteristics, arise as a real possibility to support the need to communicate. In this context, this research proposes the development of a multimodal information architecture for oral communication using concepts applied in semiotics associated with artificial intelligence. This architecture proposes to attribute to the meaning a signifier that is individual and unconventional, for the production of computer-generated speech. In this way, it is believed that a person may be able to express information, having as primary source only a mental association. The results indicate that this informational architecture promoted a significant reduction of noise in the communication process between sender and receiver.

It presents a multicenter study on the communicative action of the Community Health Agent (ACS) and the Endemic Combat Agent (ACE) in Brazil, based on an investigation into disinformation in the context of collective health. The profile and context research shows three different perspectives: Individual knowledge (ACS and ACE); Knowledge of issues related to the team (CHA and ACE Team); Knowledge of issues related to assisted families (ACS and ACE in action). Through a national survey on the profile of CHAs and ACEs, carried out in partnership with Rede Brasil/UnB, it is suggested to develop information and knowledge management instruments that help improve the skills and practices of CHAs and ACEs in the use of information. Identifies the skills of ACS and ACE in filtering information, fighting the proliferation of false news, which arrive in the networks and social media used. By investigating needs for the use of best community communication practices, the qualitative and quantitative research addresses agents from the 26 federative units and the Federal District, initially through an electronic questionnaire, constituting the first part of the study, and later in a qualitative approach, with interviews to obtain an understanding of the practices of the ACE and CHA in the light of theoretical references of Information Science, and of authors of Education and Communication in Health. Aiming to reach answers with statistical significance for the quantitative research questions, two significant random samples were calculated for the ACE and ACS by Federative Units, stratified by municipalities according to the typology of the IBGE. In order to know the size of the study population, the National Registry of Health Establishments (CNES) was considered, from which a total of 94,769 ACE and 285,681 CHA (01/2021) were counted. The research is based on the assumptions that the strategic performance of the ACS in the area of Collective Health can be evaluated in the light of Information Science, for a multidisciplinary understanding and updating of good practices in community communication, and in the face of misinformation. As a result of the research, it is sought to prove that disinformation is an aggravating component for health crisis situations, such as the pandemic and endemics caused by arboviruses, and that there are possibilities to redesign, in a structured, qualified way and based on technical knowledge. scientific, organizational modes of information communication processes in the work of CHAs and ACEs and in their training.

At the end of 2019, humanity was hit by a health crisis of global proportions, which brought immense health challenges, but also highlighted informational problems, such as the huge amount of problematic content that began to circulate about the coronavirus, especially on the Internet. In addition, in Brazil, there was strong politicization around issues related to the pandemic. Given this reality, the research aims to investigate, within the scope of online social networks, information practices in relation to content about the Covid-19 pandemic, with special attention to the ways in which phenomena such as infodemic, disinformation and post-truth impacted internet users, in a context of high political polarization. It is a study of information users supported by the social paradigm and the perspective of informationa practices. To achieve this goal, four public Facebook groups were followed for 17 months using non-participant observational netnography. Through the application of Content Analysis, Critical Discourse Analysis and Connected Concept Analysis, the results showed high polarization between individuals and considerable impact of ideas propagated by the Federal Government in the perception of Internet users. These findings show that, in Brazil, the health emergency was seen more as a political problem than, properly speaking, a public health problem.

Assertiveness and effectiveness of a set actions in an information context depends on the subject ability to produce and adapt representations about reality. The process of building these representational models begins with the proper combination of learning methods and the selection of what is presented to this subject, whom perception capacity is limited. With regard to machine learning, it appears that Computer Science historically adhered to the syntax of the relations between Computational Subject and Object of analysis: it produces algorithms for calculating incidence and proximity between the properties of texts, images, sounds and others perceptible forms of manifestation. The following work aims to position Multimodal Information Architecture as the counterpart of Information Science in the semantic study of manifestations to be presented to a Computational Subject in its development of an artificial intelligence neural network.

In 2018, the Ministry of Culture, the Brazilian Institute of Museums (Ibram) and the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) signed an important partnership with the objective of researching methodologies focused on collaboration and social management of digital collections, entitled Collection Platform Project. The partnership remains, however, currently with the University of Brasília (UnB). One of the main fruits of this project was the development of the free Tainacan software, a flexible tool, aimed at the dissemination and interoperability between Brazilian digital cultural collections, which allows cataloging, organizing, storing and sharing information with ease. Thus, of the 27 museums directly managed by Ibram, 20 have their digital collections, partial or total, available on the Web through Tainacan, totaling 22 museum collections. This scenario brought relevant and exciting possibilities, but along with these, it brought challenges in the search and retrieval of information. In this way, UnB in partnership with Ibram carried out, as a doctoral work, research in favor of developing a new service for searching and retrieving information, based on the automated aggregation of the metadata of digital museum objects, entitled Brasiliana Museums. The studies contemplated research of an applied nature, of a descriptive nature, with a qualitative approach, with a deductive method, which uses as research techniques: systematic observation in real life, non-participant; documentary research; bibliographic research and the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and as a research method, the study of multiple cases. The survey carried out through research techniques resulted, mainly, in the description of several cultural data aggregators built by different countries, seeking to identify the context in which they are inserted, the main results, the processes and the technologies used, to subsidize the guidelines for building the Brazilian aggregation service. Of these, two were considered more relevant to the proposal, having been studied in more detail, the Digital Public Library of America.Inc, a non-profit institution that maintains the integrated search portal Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) in which millions of materials from libraries, archives, museums and other cultural institutions across the United States of America in a single discovery experience, and the Europeana Foundation, an independent, not-for-profit organization that operates the Europeana Collections platform, which contains thousands of items from European archives, libraries and museums. From the results obtained and Ibram's needs, it can be concluded that the technologies found did not fully meet Brazilian specificities. Thus, the choice of technologies began, looking for modern, free tools, with an active community, with high performance, scalable, that allowed integration with other tools and that were also relatively simple to implement. It was then decided to use the Elastic Stack, which consists of four tools: Beats, Logstash, Elasticsearch and Kibana, which aims to obtain data from any source, in any format, to search, analyze and visualize everything in real time. Thus, they are integrated into Tainacan, composing an aggregation process consisting of five main stages: i) mapping of metadata from the original museums to the Ibram standard, making data available in an open format; ii) automated collection of metadata from digital objects in collections; iii) aggregation and transformation of these data; iv) sending and storing metadata in Tainacan, for the creation of the Portal Brasiliana Museums; v) sending and storing metadata to Elasticsearch and; vi) creation of the analytical, interactive panel, composed of visualization elements. As a result, the pilot project of the information search and retrieval service, Brasiliana Museums, is presented, in which more than 17 thousand digital objects can be added in a single Tainacan installation, in addition to creating an analytical panel that allows Ibram to obtain a vision macro of all your collections. It should be noted that the other Ibram museums (seven not yet available on the Web) can enter the aggregation process, expanding the possibilities of searching and retrieving information from the collections, after all, the choice of multicase study allows us to predict similar results, in a similar way to the method of experiments. Finally, prototyping the service proves to be an efficient solution, both from the point of view of socializing and disseminating digital objects, and in terms of monitoring and tracking information from collections through analytical panels, in addition to representing a cheap technological solution. and feasible to implement. As future work, two points deserve attention, the first, at a technical level, concerns the exclusion of digital objects at the source, to automatically reflect the action in the aggregator. The second, conceptual, concerns studies regarding the quality of the source data and how this reflects on the quality of the search and retrieval of information from the aggregated data.

The present research aims to discover the role of makerspace in the transformation of academic libraries. In a scenario of rapid evolution and changes that libraries are going through, the makerspace has shown itself to be a space of enormous potential, since in the scientific literature on the subject it is constantly correlated with libraries. The research has a general objective: to analyze the impact of the use of makerspaces for the future of the physical space of academic libraries. Research problem: does the insertion of the makerspace in the physical spaces of libraries represent a permanent change in the conception of the university library? To guide the objectives and reach an answer to the research problem, the method used was the survey. A questionnaire was sent to academic libraries around the world, based on Time Higher Education ranking, in order to assess their opinion regarding the use of makerspace in their physical spaces. Data analysis revealed that most makerspaces were from the United States, the focus of makerspaces is on the areas of science, technology, arts and mathematics, the most available tools are 3D printers, video and audio, digital laboratory, welding, sewing, electronics, carpentry, programming and robotics. 67% of the makerspaces exists for more than 3 years, are supported mainly with resources from the academic library and with free access. The public served is focused on the university's internal community and 75% of the libraries needed to make some kind of adaptation in the physical space to include the makerspace; there were no major complaints from users regarding the loss of physical space. Most respondents understand makerspaces as a permanent trend for the university library, as well as there is a positive relationship between the makerspace and the academic performances. The makerspace was also considered to enhance engagement. In the open question there were reservations about the purpose of the makerspace within the academic library and its alignment with the university curriculum. It is concluded, therefore, that, given the current scenario, within the universe researched, the makerspace can be considered as an active transformer of academic libraries as long as it is aligned with departments and university curriculum, in addition to financial planning that guarantees their livelihood.

In the scientific context, particularly in the area of literature, there was a significant increase in the number of publications, such as noted and commented editions of correspondence and diaries, as well as the development of research aimed at rebuilding the biographical path of writers with the purpose of understanding his work from a chronological, thematic and editorial perspective. This movement seems to be related to the creation of research and documentation centers aimed at preserving literary archives -category of personal archives that comprises the records produced by a particular person, related to civic, cultural and literary activities, as well as their work. Although they are responsible for essential activities of organization, access and use to these collections, most of these institutions mainly cost archives whose holders are male. Seeking to give greater visibility to women's literary archives this thesis seeks to contribute to discussions involving the articulation between these collections, custody institutions and their users. The general hypothesis is that the institutionalization of female literary archives seems to have given more visibility to archival sources about this type of collection, attracting more users to custodian institutions, as well as probable research and production on fund holders. The general objective of the study is to investigate how the institutionalization of female literary archives has contributed to the development of research on the lives and work of the holdersof these collections in Brazil. The universe of research thus understood the female literary files custody by the Instituto Moreira Salles’s Literatura Division and Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa’s Arquivo-Museu de Literatura Brasileira and the analysis corpus consisted of 8 archival funds and the academic productions developed from the access and use of documents from these collections. From a qualitative approach, it was used as a method of documentary research with the purpose of analyzing the custodial history of collections and identifying the productions on the life and work of the holders of the female literary archives, in order to present the profile of the users of these collections and demonstrating the main elements that encourage the search and use of these files. The data collected during the research indicated that from the institutionalization of collections there was an increase in the production of works on the life and work of the writers, demonstrating that access to female literary archives allowed not only the reconstruction of the writers' trajectory, but also the emergence of new aspects about your life and work. Among other aspects, it was concluded that there is a need for a more effective policy for the dissemination of collections, in order to give greater visibility to female literary archives

Scientific communication, which concerns the production, dissemination and appropriation of scientific information, has been the object of study in several areas of knowledge. In information science, it includes the spectrum of activities from the moment the researcher identifies a study question until the moment when the knowledge produced is validated by the scientific community. Informational practices, in turn, have sought to understand the subjects' actions through conscious and unconscious processes, resulting from their social interactions. It is assumed that the informational processes do not exist dissociated from the subjects, and it is through social relations that one should investigate and understand how and why subjects act in a certain way, attribute meaning and conserve or transform their relationships. That said, this research has as its object the meanings attributed by researchers to the processes of production, communication and appropriation of scientific information on pre-exposure prophylaxis to the human immunodeficiency virus. It adopts a conceptual model as a theoretical-methodological resource, elaborated from concepts extracted from the theoretical foundation. It has a constructivist claim, a qualitative approach and a descriptive purpose. The population consisted of Brazilian and French researchers-doctors with active research projects related to the topic. With regard to the collection, the survey method was used and as a technique, the semi-structured interview. Data were described and analyzed using linear progression and thematic coding. The results demonstrate that the production of scientific knowledge about PrEP starts in different contexts and is influenced by several aspects, such as research group meetings and informal conversations with the general population. Communication, in turn, tends to be centralized in the academic sphere. Regarding appropriation, it should be noted that the main aspect pointed out was the impact index. Finally, in the researchers' view, scientific communication fails when it does not return its results to society.

In the last 50 years, technological advances and the formation of large volumes of information have had a transformative impact on organizations. Auditing, an activity that aims to provide confidence in the relationships between an organization's stakeholders, has also undergone changes. has also undergone changes. The emergence of a new specialty in this field stands out: Information Auditing. In this discipline there is still a lack of a theory on which the operational elements can be based. This lack can lead, for example, to misunderstanding of the phenomena involved and inefficient approaches. The aim of the thesis is to propose guidelines for an Information Audit Theory. The study considered the importance of the auditor knowing the institution and the business under evaluation, so the investigation was carried out based on data from only one type of organization: financial institutions. The subject is discussed from three sources of information: literature related to the subject, perceptions of professionals working in the Audit and content of Audit reports published by Independent Audit firms. In the research trajectory, ideas and trends in auditing are presented. The result is a list of guidelines for an Information Audit Theory, with a suggestion to recognize the relevance of Information Audit to the strategic management of organizations and the need for this activity to be independent of management.

Introduction. With the exponential increase in data, due to its digital nature, problems of absence or discrepancy in registered metadata also increase, making it an expensive and arduous job for a human being to fix. There is a need for investigations to improve the organization and facilitate information retrieval. In this context, the application of artificial intelligence through machine learning, using automatic and semi-automatic tools in a complementary way to collect metadata and generate subjects, improves its indexing and searches in digital repositories.
Goal. Propose a generic framework with a set of activities and techniques to automatically generate and index subjects in a digital repository, aiming at organizing and retrieving information.
Methods. Systematic Literature Review, studying the subject of automatic and semi-automatic generation of metadata, its tools, techniques, characteristics and functions. Exploratory research was carried out in scientific databases of Information Science, selecting specific journals for evaluation according to the main classification lists. A mixed method was used for data analysis, with quantitative and qualitative approaches, with a strict review protocol being defined. Tools were identified to help applied research, through their customization and joint use of several machine learning algorithms that would help in the process of automatic subject generation. At the end, a case study applied to the “research model” was carried out.
Results. It is concluded that the automatic generation of metadata techniques help in suggesting subjects for robust documents such as a thesis and dissertation, expanding the number of descriptors, in order to facilitate the configuration of taxonomies, filters and facets. This work proposed the generic framework validated by the research model, through the applied case study. This framework can be adapted and applied in any area of knowledge, with the aim of improving and facilitating the search and retrieval of information in digital repositories by users and managers of these collections.

The dissemination of documentation about cultural heritage on the internet is a growing factor in the reality of memory institutions that seek to digitize and publish their collections. The increase in this digital presence of collections reveals a two-sided phenomenon: on the one hand, it improves access conditions to cultural assets for users with internet access; on the other hand, it poses the problem of the diversity of access points to collections, revealing the gap in the difficulty of retrieving information in an aggregated manner on the same topic, in this case, culture. It is this identified gap that the present research aims to address. Concerning the theme of aggregating digital cultural collections, we aim to answer how digital collections published on the internet by institutions linked to the Ministry of Culture of Brazil are made available, in terms of their technological characteristics, organization of knowledge, and representation of information, considering the possibility of implementing an aggregation service for these collections. Through the theoretical framework, which includes a literature review on the organization of knowledge and representation of information in digital collections, a conceptual survey on metadata mapping for aggregating these collections, and a review of the technological characteristics of national aggregation initiatives, we were able to formulate a research strategy to characterize the digital collections of entities linked to the Ministry of Culture and develop a prototype for aggregating these collections. To achieve these results, we employed the methodology of multiple case studies, coupled with the application of categorical analysis and descriptive statistics techniques to process the results obtained. The prototype development method comprised five stages, based on the theoretical framework of this research. Based on the results of the characterization of the digital collections of the cultural entities analyzed, we identified heterogeneity in several aspects of the collections' documentation, which helped to anticipate the difficulty of implementing an aggregation service. As for the aggregation prototype, it was primarily developed using data scraping programs, indicating high complexity and minimal sustainability capacity for an aggregation service. Therefore, we conclude that the research conducted in this thesis fulfilled the initial proposal of characterizing the digital collections of entities linked to the Ministry of Culture and developing a prototype for aggregating these digital collections. It is also understood that the content of this study can serve as scientific input for other research on the topic of aggregating digital collections, as well as in decision-making within the scope of Brazilian cultural heritage institutions. Additionally, it underscores the need for coordination between these institutions to promote more Brazilian initiatives for aggregating cultural collections.

Information Literacy(IL) consists of a process that integrates actions to locate, select, access, organize, use information and, thus, generate knowledge, aiming at decision making and problem solving. The theory of Learning Styles (LE) defends the identification of the preferred way in which the subject relates to the learning conditions. Thus, Information Literacy contributes to the learning necessary for the search and use of information. While Learning Styles contribute to more inclusive educational practices. Information literacy contributes in the necessary learning to the Search and use of information. The general objective of this thesis is to analyze how Information Literacy activities are influenced by the Learning Styles in the Degree in Chemistry course at the Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB), Gama campus. The specific ones are to characterize the profile of the participating subjects of two undergraduate classes, of the quasi-experiment; detect the determining Learning Styles in just one of the classes; develop and apply similar Information Literacy activities in the two classes of the course; compare the learning levels between the two classes; and identify the relationship between Learning Styles and Information Literacylearning levels. The theoretical framework is therefore concentrated on three axes, namely: learning, Information Literacy and Learning Styles. Also discussed are: reflective thinking, prior knowledge, experiential learning, curriculum and teacher training. The methodology, of a descriptive nature, has a qualitative and quantitative approach, whose investigation method is quasi-experimental. The data collection instruments are the questionnaire, the Learning Styles identification inventory and the Information Literacy activities. The results indicate that, in the experimental group, the material produced was better classified than that presented by the control group; and indicate that identifying and using the Learning Styles can favor the student's performance both in the execution of tasks and in the production of material resulting from teaching-learning.
