SUMMARY:

The theme of this work is about if and how the sociological concept of risk can contribute to the course of initial formation of chemistry teachers with STS approach. This concept is objectively approached by the natural sciences, through risk assessments and is discussed by three other sociological perspectives, among them that of Pat'o Malley, Michael Foucault and the third, by which we will restrict ourselves, which is that of society of risk, which in addition to Ulrich Beck, there is also the contribution of Anthony Giddens and Scott Lash. The focus of this study will concentrate on the possible contributions of the concept of risk to the deepening of reflections on the relationship between science, technology and society in science education, as a collaborative means for the citizenship formation of the subjects. Thus, the general objective of this study will be to investigate contributions of the development/reflection of the concept of risk to think about the STS relationship for future professional practices of Chemistry undergraduates. For this, specifically aimed to: analyze whether the concept of risk appears in the guiding documents of the Licentiate in Chemistry at the University of Brasilia and, if so, whether there is a contribution to thinking about the STS relationship in the training of these teachers; b) reflect through the development of a didactic proposal to be developed, in the training space of the Pedagogical Residency of the Degree in Chemistry, about the risk theme in articulation with the STS relationship in practices of Chemistry classrooms and c) evaluate the impacts of the development of the proposal on the subjects involved. Data collection will take place through seminars, notes in the research diary of the observations made in the development of the proposals; filming of didactic activities developed by undergraduates in the school context and through interviews with undergraduates, teacher tutors from schools participating in the Pedagogical Residency and the teacher tutor of this Program.
