SUMMARY:

The “Bio na Rua” Extension Project of the Institute of Biological Sciences at Universidade de Brasília operates in the format of a traveling and interactive museum based on science and biology themes, using educational and recreational materials. The purpose of the project is related to scientific dissemination in formal and non-formal teaching spaces and operates mainly in public schools in the Federal District region and surrounding areas. In this dissertation project we will investigate the contributions of Bio na Rua to the personal, academic and professional training of its participants, throughout its existence. To achieve this, we have specific objectives: i) raise and describe a history of Bio na Rua from the perspective of its participants; ii) identify objectives of the Project and what activities have been carried out; iii) point out the contributions of Bio na rua to the personal, academic and professional training of its participants.
