"WOMAN'S WEEK" AND THE FORMATION OF NATURAL SCIENCE TEACHERS: ACHIEVEMENT PROCESSES FOR THE VISIBILITY OF WOMEN SCIENTISTS

Several actions aimed at promoting gender equality have been instituted worldwide and nationally. Among them is the UN 2030 Agenda, which seeks, among others, the inclusion, sustainability, social justice and empowerment of all girls and women, guaranteeing equal opportunities at all levels. Given the need for this approach to be present in the school environment to provide reflections and problematization in the face of subtle forms of violence, stands out the importance of Law nº 14.164/21, that reinforces the need for the theme "woman" to be addressed in Basic Education. The school is fundamental for the formation of an equitable society, as it is a space in which gender identities are constructed and reconstructed. In this context, the teacher also needs to be aware of gender relations, and it is necessary to insert the gender theme in teacher training, focusing on the visibility of research and productions by women scientists. In view of this, the objective of this project is to investigate how teachers of Natural Sciences in the final years of Elementary School of the Public Education Network of the Federal District conceive the importance of addressing gender issues in science teaching, but specifically based on the theme "Women and Girls in Science”, focusing on the activities developed in the “School Week to Combat Violence against Women, and investigate whether a game could be a suitable pedagogical activity for this week in the view of teachers. The methodological approach will be qualitative and the data analyzed based on Bardin's Content Analysis
