SUMMARY:

his work is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter provides an introduction and establishes the context of the study, discussing the impact of Emergency Remote Education (ERE) caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences for the practice of science teachers in the Federal District. The second chapter focuses on a bibliographic survey, examining the pedagogical practices adopted by science teachers during remote teaching. The third chapter describes the research carried out through two focus groups, investigating the adaptations and educational practices adopted by public school science teachers in the Federal District during and after the pandemic period. The purpose of the focus group is to check whether the results found corroborate the information in the literature. The methodology used is qualitative, with data collection techniques that include applying an initial survey form and conducting face-to-face focus groups. Data analysis was conducted using Laurence Bardin's Content Analysis, which facilitates the identification and interpretation of patterns in the data. This work aims to help science educators reflect on the didactic changes that were consolidated and influenced science education after the emergency period. The results indicate that both teachers and students faced significant challenges related to the use of technology. Despite these difficulties, teachers continued to use some practices, such as games and videos. After the pandemic, there was a shift towards a more flexible and less content-centered approach in response to the educational gaps resulting from the pandemic. This study highlights the need for further research into resources that can help fill existing learning gaps.
