SUMMARY:

The present work presents a literature review on the use of Outsourcing as a
management tool, as well as contextualizing the theme in the current reality of the
Regional Council of Nursing of the State of São Paulo (Coren-SP) that has the expenses
with maintenance of contracts of outsourcing as your second biggest expense. The study
brought alternatives that allow, on the part of Coren-SP, the rationalization of spending
on activities without affecting its operation and consequently the quality of services
provided to Nursing professionals. In this sense, the objective of the research is to
analyze the efficiency of outsourcing in the Regional Council of Nursing of São Paulo
(Coren-SP). For the accomplishment of the work, a descriptive, qualitative study was
carried out, of the documentary type, to be carried out in a federal public autarchy,
professional council - Regional Nursing Council of São Paulo (Coren-SP). Historically,
since its existence, the great challenge presented to Coren-SP is the improvement of the
relationship with its main public: the nursing professional. As a result, it was observed
that there was a significant increase in outsourced spending in the analyzed period, in
the years 2018, 2019 and 2020. Much of this increase was due to the fact that the Covid-
19 pandemic and the hiring of labor.
