The present research is qualitative. This study was carried out with two teachers in training who were enrolled in the Supervised Internship II of the University of Brasilia Spanish Language Course. For data collection, an initial survey, authentic conversation, post-conversation survey, stimulated recall, and oral narrative were used. The result of the data analysis revealed that emotions hindered the performance of the oral skills of the participants in the target language, noting significant interference of negative considered emotions.
