Políticas públicas, Pandemia, Covid-19, Gênero, Brasil, Argentina, Buenos Aires, Brasília, desigualdade de Gênero.
This research aims to conduct a comparative study between Brasília and Buenos Aires in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. It seeks to evaluate the Public Policies implemented in both countries (In Brazil: "Auxílio Brasil – LEI Nº 13.982 de 2 de Abril de 2020" and in Argentina: "Programa de asistencia de emergencia al trabajo y la producción (ATP)" – established through Decree 376/2020, 21/04/2020) and their importance for the beneficiaries. The proposed methodological approach is based on axiological evaluation and intersectionality as the mandatory lens. Considering that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused loss of human lives, exacerbated inequalities, socioeconomic impacts, and global panic, understanding its implications is a relevant and exploratory subject. The objective of this research is to investigate the implementation and comprehend the importance of Public Policies in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic for Argentinian and Brazilian women. The specific objectives are: a) Develop a theoretical conceptual framework on the intersections between class, gender, and race in the Covid-19 pandemic from the perspective of intersectionality; b) Compare the approaches adopted in Brasília and Buenos Aires regarding gender-based Public Policies during the Covid-19 pandemic, identifying their similarities and differences; c) Investigate the access of women beneficiaries to the Public Policies implemented in Brasília and Buenos Aires during the Covid-19 pandemic in the areas of employment and income. To achieve these objectives, interviews, bibliographic analysis, document analysis, and data collection will be utilized.
