SUMMARY:

This Project aims to present the initial systematizations for the development of our research on the articulations and political and social tensions between black and white women in the Slutwalk in the Federal District, Brazil. In order to understand how the feminist movement understands and deals with the racial issue, our work will analyze the construction and the consequences of the Slutwalk and the impacts of the march on the feminist movement in the Federal District. To do so, we will use as a theoretical basis the contribution of black theorists who discuss the issue of gender and race and theorists of the feminist movement in order to define how the process of the march can extrapolate and contribute to the analysis of the relationships of black women and white women in the construction of movements in search of the guarantee of rights for all women. We will also analyze feminist movements as a social phenomenon with different social actors that coexist within the same political field, but with marked social differences, due to the way in which the system of oppression presents itself to each of these women, and understand the alliances woven between black and white women and the critique of the struggle priorities of feminist movements.
