Social Movements, Black Movement, State, Racism, Capitalism.

The objective of this thesis is to present comparative research between the black movement and the State, which will be carried out based on research on two black movement organizations: Movimento Negro Unificado (MNU) Brazil and Movimento Nacional Cimarrón (MNC) Colombia. The central objective of the research is to understand what the relationship between the black movement and the State consists of, what advances and setbacks this relationship brought to confronting racism and racial inequality on Brazilian and Colombian soil, in a time frame that goes from the 2000s until 2020. The methodology that will be used consists of the theoretical analysis of books, official documents, government programs, statutes, interpretative interviews with activists and leaders from both organizations mentioned above. The results we hope to achieve will be presented in this thesis in the form of a conclusion in the final considerations section.
