SUMMARY:

Consumers and producers are linked through threir interactions in the suply chain of a good. Producers’ decision making about process and products design is due to their perception on the consumers demands. This indicates that consumers have a share of the responsibility on the production outcomes, including positive and negative impacts on the environment. In other words, consumers and producers are hipotetically coresponsible for the production outcomes. Ecosystem services support agricultural production in different shares. For example, two thirds of the consumed warter in the world are directly consumed by agriculture, and biodiversity, through pollination services, also assure production to crops like soy bean. These services are virtually embodied to the finished product and flow through commercial transfers from the production to the consumer regions, what means the consumer regions benefit remotely from the ecosystem services which are available at the origin. Brazilian savannah is a worldwide production center and also a massive congregation of ecosystem services. Thus, a share of these services which are available at that biome is continuously transfered abroad, imbodied in the exported agricultural products. Than, the proposal of this research is analyse, within the scope of international trade of agricltural products from the Brazilia savannah, the role of water and pollination virtual flows and the coresponsibility among producers and consumers on the ecologial and economic sustainability of the biome.
