SUMMARY:

Agroecological management seeks to reverse situations in which the soil's productive capacity is in the process of degradation, through practices and management related to the flows of matter and energy existing in natural ecosystems. Analyze whether agroecological management practices developed in Agrarian Reform Settlements in the DF are providing families with productive, economic, environmental and social autonomy. In order to answer how agroecological management is influencing agrarian reform territories within the Federal District, the study is based on descriptive and qualitative research. Sampling will not be random, agroecosystems will be chosen within the settlements, in order to encompass the greatest number of different systems, with the aim of describing a greater variety of management. From this perspective and as a way of responding to the general and specific objectives, the methodology chosen to be applied in this study is the Method of Economic-Ecological Analysis of Agrecosystems – LUME. The study areas will be in agroecosystems located in the rural settlements Chapadinha and Canaã. Since its genesis, agroecology has investigated and studied sustainable agriculture, and agroecological management is the empirical production of this knowledge, in order to recover or maintain soil productivity, without harming the environment in which it is located, as well as the prospect of improvement in the quality of life of family farming, through the social, environmental and economic autonomy of families.
