SUMMARY:

The study describes and analyses the class of adverbs of manner in Libras, seeking to understand how these adverbs are used in this linguistic system. We will investigate the formation and morphosyntactic expression of adverbs of manner in Libras, exploring examples and analyzing the role of these constituents in sentences in that language. Through the study of specific cases, we intend to reveal how visual-spatial communication in Libras expresses nuances of meaning similar to those expressed by adverbs in oral languages. This work, therefore, aims to contribute to the knowledge of the grammatical structure of sentences in Libras, as well as highlighting the complexity and richness of this language, through the description and analysis of the class of adverbs of manner.
