SUMMARY:

The sexual and reproductive health of black quilombola women is still a topic to be discussed in order to gain visibility, since it is an area with great challenges. The present study aims to analyze to what extent the demands of sexual and reproductive health of quilombola women are met in the health services of Quilombo Mesquita. It considers the importance of health policy to guarantee access of quilombola women to the services offered in the Unified Health System (SUS) in order to guarantee their sexual and reproductive rights. To this end, the decolonial theory is used, which has as its perspective the construction of knowledge from a critical viewpoint in order to achieve the transformation of colonized peoples. It seeks to create its own theories and methods in America, without depending on the knowledge construction of the colonizers. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with black quilombola women of reproductive age, over 18 years old. There were 10 interviews with quilombola women living in the Mesquita Community which is located in Cidade Ocidental- Goiás. The research contributed to understand that quilombola women still need attention in relation to their sexual and reproductive health. One of the main tools is the right to information so that they have knowledge about the services that are offered in each of the attentions. There is a lack of knowledge about reproductive planning, contraceptive methods, access to and use of health services by these women. Traditional medicine is still very present in the lives of quilombola women and is used as a strategy to ensure their health and that of their families. This knowledge contributes to their self-affirmation as quilombola. The main social, economic and cultural barriers that hinder access to health services were identified. Thus, it is observed that knowledge is the main tool for quilombola women to have access to health services and have their reproductive rights guaranteed.
