USE OF BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE TOOLS TO ASSIST REGULATIONS GOVERNING CHARGING FOR THE USE OF WATER RESOURCES
Business Intelligence; Charging; Water Resources.
The charging for the use of water resources has proven to be an important tool to promote the rationalization of consumption and the preservation of water sources, as well as financing actions to preserve and recover water bodies. To implement charging for the use of water resources, it is necessary to publish regulations (resolutions, decrees, laws, ordinances, etc.) by entities from different areas. The National Water and Basic Sanitation Agency (ANA) stores the charging regulations portal on its website, simply listing them and segregating them by scope, there is no effort for filters, data analysis, monitoring and consultations for these important documents. Therefore, by obtaining information through the application of a questionnaire, evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the charging regulations portal on the ANA website, the aim is to create a diagnosis of its limitations. After obtaining the results of the questionnaire, Business Intelligence (BI) methodologies and tools will be applied, with the aim of adopting improvements and overcoming the limitations presented on the aforementioned website. The product of this study aims to serve society with the dissemination of this data more effectively, supporting decisionmaking and activities carried out by technical bodies for research and studies, assisting in production and organization.
