SUMMARY:

This dissertation deals with the critical difference between the valorization of socio-biodiversity and the development projects in the context of Traditional Agro-extractive Communities. The territories of traditional Peoples and Communities and their civil jurisdiction have been the target of disputes and challenges to guarantee their ways of living in modernity. The present research sought to contribute to this theme based on Critical Systems Heuristics and the contributions of sociobiodiversity and common-pool resource. The methods adopted were ethnographic research coupled with action research. The results reveal how Agroextractivists seek to build territorial projects, their mechanisms for responsible action, and how these instruments reveal profound differences compared to strictly economic development projects. In addition, the research obtained relevant unintended results such as the use of Critical Systems Heuristics as a methodology for conducting Consultation and Free, Prior and Informed consent (FPIC).
