"Unraveling the Cerrado: educational game as a teaching resource".
Biology teaching. Inquiry teaching. Natural Sciences and their Technologies. Didactic material.
This study aims to develop an educational game as a teaching resource to address the Cerrado biome topic in high school classrooms. This biome has been increasingly degraded and needs special attention, highlighting the importance of its biodiversity. The use of the educational game aligns with the Common National Curricular Basis as it suggests the use of different languages, by the teacher, in promoting scientific literacy, considering the game as one of these languages. It is expected that the use of the game can help address other topics related to Ecology, Zoology, and Botany. The study will be conducted with 2nd-year high school students in a public school in Águas Lindas, Goiás. After its development, the game will be used with the students for further analysis. It will be verified whether it helps address the topic of Cerrado, increases the students' interest in the theme, aids scientific literacy, and fosters student protagonism. Data will be collected through questionnaire and interviews, and subsequently analyzed through content analysis, as proposed by Bardin (2016).Unraveling the Cerrado: educational game as a teaching resource
