The present work aims to review the use of the pedagogical Escape Room in the Teaching of Biology as a tool for student engagement, especially in relation to the contents of genetics present in the questions of the National High School Exam (ENEM). The objectives include producing a literature review article on the use of escape rooms as a pedagogical tool and producing proposals for pedagogical escape rooms focused on the teaching of genetics. This study is employing a qualitative methodological approach, divided into three phases: definition of the key concepts to be addressed in the activities, bibliographic review of the theory involved in the use of escape rooms and the production of three pedagogical activities with the use of pedagogical escape rooms. As products, it is foreseen the production of a review article on the use of escape rooms as a pedagogical tool and three escape room scripts with the objective of working on key concepts in the area of genetics.
