Middle study; Student; Teaching-learning; Methodology;Interdisciplinarity.
The research seeks methodologies and methods that provide significant knowledge and
that encourage more in-depth and ongoing studies. For this, we consider, among the various active learnings,
the “Study of the Environment”, because it is an interdisciplinary methodology that seeks to offer students
and teachers an approximation to their own reality, through the understanding of a space that is intended to to
study. Thus, the general objective of the dissertation is to develop the study of the environment, as a
methodology for teaching and learning the Cerrado, with students of the 5th year of Elementary School, in a
conservation unit, the Parque Ecológico da Asa Sul. The specific objectives focus on identifying the socio-
environmental potential and impacts that compromise the conservation of the Asa Sul Ecological Park in
Brasília; prepare a proposal for a Didactic Sequence, based on the methodology of studying the environment,
aiming to enhance teaching and learning in the Cerrado; apply the didactic sequence for students in the 5th
year of Elementary School; evaluate the effectiveness of the Didactic Sequence in the teaching and learning
process, starting with the students' reality and also produce a socio-environmental atlas of the Cerrado of the
actions carried out with the students. The research subjects will have three activity teachers, with dual
qualifications and about fifty students from the 5th year of Elementary School I at Escola Classe 316 Sul –
Asa Sul ¬– Brasília/DF. And, as a starting point for the research, it is understood that the Study of the
Environment in urban parks can enhance the construction of knowledge about the Cerrado through the
experience of the contents and the development of socio-environmental skills. In this context, it is understood
that direct contact with the ecological park leads students to a significant learning of the physical, human,
environmental, cultural and economic aspects, through the integration between the different subjects and
subjects learned, and lead to ecological awareness. and improving school performance.
