The teaching of Geography is fundamental for developing students' sense of belonging in space, recognizing the importance of their actions in shaping the landscape, and leading to the creation of their own meaningful places that can be assimilated or redefined through new knowledge. Based on this principle, the project aims to develop, for students in the final years of Elementary Education, the construction of an interventionist methodological model of recognition, learning, and experience of the Cerrado through Geography classes, highlighting the power of geographical reasoning in forming more conscious citizens. The proposed methodology will be a mix of pedagogical practices that have advantages for learning in different areas of knowledge, ranging from expository methods, in a more traditional approach, to active methodologies such as field trips and valuing students' perceptions of the environment.
