SUMMARY:

The purpose of this master's thesis proposal is to produce a booklet as pedagogical material. The search to understand the landscape category through an interpretative trail on the banks of the Ribeirão Sobradinho motivated the choice of a community environmental project, in a permanent preservation area (APP) of Sobradinho (DF) for the development of the research. The project has Basic Education students as the public with the greatest regularity of visits to the site, for this reason, it is also important to have pedagogical material as a tool for an accessible environmental interpretation that is consistent with the environmental and social reality of the context. Therefore, it is extremely important to understand the environmental context of Ribeirão Sobradinho and the environmental project; the landscape category and the new crossings of Geography teaching that defend teaching approaches that encourage thinking geographically. Considering environmental perception and interpretation as bases in the construction of interpretive trails, allowed the identification of the trail's attractive points so that the construction of the pedagogical material contributes to the interpretation of the landscape and encourages the student's sense of belonging. The methodology used is based on the qualitative method with bibliographic and documentary survey, field work, photographic record, use of maps, graphs and figures. Thus, the present work aims to develop, from an interpretative trail, a booklet focused on the geographical discussion of the landscape category as a didactic tool for teaching Geography in Basic Education.
