SUMMARY:

Quality of life at work (QWL) is a field of study that aims to understand the parameters of work content, from the physical aspects of the environment to the employee's mental health. An emotionally unhealthy work environment has negative consequences for human and institutional development, one of the consequences being an increase in the rate of employee turnover and absenteeism. One of the ways to explain this event is to understand the correlation between well-being and QWL, which gained greater visibility when occupational illnesses became frequent and with periods of prolonged absence. As it is a comprehensive study, the search for QWL indicators becomes essential for the institution. Risk management is a tool that comprises policies and practices that can ensure the institution's longevity by mitigating possible risks during the provision of services to society. Therefore, the implementation of personnel risk management, associated with QWL indicators, becomes an important tool for measuring the employee satisfaction index in the institution, with the aim of reducing personnel obstacles, such as turnover, absenteeism and illnesses. occupational issues, and also to identify gaps where people management is not applied satisfactorily to achieve the organization's performance and strategic objectives, as well as developing people to promote a healthy relationship between employee and organization. Therefore, the objective of this study is to reveal the aspects that interfere, positively or negatively, in the general well-being of employees at the University of Brasília to be considered in risk management. The research will be of the survey type, containing questions oriented towards systematic intervention work in QWL used in the methodological model of Klein, Pereira and Lemos (2019), adapted from Ferreira (2016). Thus, with the survey of indicators that influence the well-being of employees, it is expected to implement the parameters found in the risk management of the University of Brasília as a factor for mitigating occupational risks, as well as serving as subsidies for the elaboration and implementation of people management policies.
