Analysis of the Perception of University Staff on Nonviolent Communication at the University of Brasília
Nonviolent Communication; Productivity; Federal Universities
Poor communication can affect productivity and relationships among staff. With this in mind, this work will discuss the benefits of using the Nonviolent Communication (NVC) method in professional environments. The research will adopt a qualitative methodological approach to evaluate the application of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) within the University of Brasília (UnB). Semi-structured interviews with members of the administrative area will be conducted to analyze how NVC is applied and its implications, using content analysis. Additionally, a course on NVC for beginners will be developed, taking into account the staff’s perception of NVC in daily interactions. In this case, the data will be analyzed through bibliographic analyses and transcription of the interviews. This research will serve as a foundation for creating a course, based on the works of Marshall B. Rosenberg, aimed at the administrative staff at UnB.
