SUMMARY:

Assessing maturity in risk management within procurement processes enables an organization to determine its performance with confidence, providing relevant information for advancing to higher maturity levels. In this context, this research project aims to evaluate the level of maturity in risk management within the procurement processes for operational support at the University of Brasília (UnB). The scientific and social relevance of the study lies in the need to enhance risk management practices, ensuring greater public value in the services provided by the University, particularly in the management of operational risks associated with procurement. The study will be conducted through a case study at a support unit within the University, employing bibliographic research, interviews, unsystematic observation, and document analysis. The risk management maturity model developed by the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) will serve as the foundation for determining the maturity level of the unit's procurement processes, with necessary adjustments. The study is expected to identify existing risk management procedures and tools, measure the maturity level in operational support procurement, and present a conclusive technical report with the research findings, including recommendations for advancing to higher maturity levels.
