SUMMARY:

The research project proposes the evaluation of management practices related to racial quotas at the University of Brasília (UnB), establishing governance criteria for public policies on ethnic equity, transparency, and fraud prevention. By investigating the effectiveness of quotas since their implementation in 2004, the study emphasizes the importance of promoting control mechanisms, particularly within heteroidentification committees, to ensure the conformity and effectiveness of the implemented public policy. Utilizing a methodological approach that includes document analysis and interviews, the research project aims to review the evaluation criteria of governance mechanisms related to the application of racial quotas at the University of Brasília, with the goal of gathering relevant information to propose models that can address the challenges of continuous policy monitoring and evaluation. The project's ultimate goal is to propose guidelines that can strengthen transparency and inclusion within the academic environment. The results may provide concrete support for improving the governance of racial quota policies, thereby promoting greater equity in higher education institutions.
