SUMMARY:
This study proposes an Information Security Awareness Program aimed at enhancing the understanding and adherence of the administrative and academic staff at the Faculdade de Educação da Universidade de Brasília (UnB) to the university's Information and Communication Security Policy. The methodology includes the application of questionnaires and the conduct of interviews to measure the staff's prior knowledge of the policy and their compliance with security practices. Additionally, the strategy for disseminating the policy was thoroughly analyzed to determine its reach and participation. The collected data underwent thematic and statistical analyses to identify knowledge gaps and inadequate practices. The exploratory and descriptive approach of the study allowed for mapping the current situation and proposing improvements in information security management. The implementation of the Information Security Awareness Program is expected to result in a significant improvement in awareness among the staff, creating a safer and more resilient environment. Such a program aligns institutional practices with existing regulations, promoting a robust and sustainable security culture. This study provides an in-depth analysis and proposes practical solutions to critical challenges in information security, contributing to the development of a safer and more informed institutional environment.
