SUMMARY:

The Triple Helix model is a theory of the innovation economy that seeks to understand and intervene in the transformation of scientific knowledge into technological innovation. The Triple Helix encompasses the relationship between three economically collaborative and distinct agents: University, Government, and Industry. The creation of Science and Technology Parks aims to establish a dynamic and virtuous link, with the purpose of promoting organizational performance and the use of technology, innovation, science, and entrepreneurship. The object of this research is to understand how the Science and Technology Park of the University of Brasília has fostered the creation of ecosystems of innovative ventures, where the knowledge generated by the University plays a leading role as a potential source of innovation for society. Through knowledge flows, technology parks act as the core in the helix approach and contribute to the creation of innovations. In light of the above, the central research question arises: What challenges were faced by the management of the University of Brasília’s Science and Technology Park, from 2022 to 2024, in the creation and implementation of projects, technology transfer, and other related actions with companies that have fostered entrepreneurship and innovation according to the Triple Helix model? The objective is to analyze the challenges of the University of Brasília’s Science and Technology Park in creating innovation-based entrepreneurship ecosystems among companies, researchers, and government, according to the Triple Helix approach. This is a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive research. It is expected that the results will contribute to the advancement of knowledge in this area and to the promotion of actions that encourage collaboration among academic, business, and governmental sectors.
