THEATER IN THE CLASSROOM: AESTHETIC EXPERIENCES IN YOUTH AND ADULTS EDUCATION THROUGH THEATER WORKSHOPS

Theater workshops, Youth and Adult Education, Theater of the Oppressed, Aesthetic Experience, Newspaper Theater.

The present research aims to establish reflections about the work developed in theater practices with students of Youth and Adult Education from the third segment of the school Centro de Ensino Médio 01, Gama, Distrito Federal, from February 8^th to June 25^th of 2022. The experiences were developed from the methodology of the Theater of the Oppressed, and from improvisations and theatrical games. The activities were carried out through workshops and theatrical games starring students, with the aim of developing the students' creative potential and reflection on the social routine in which they live. A significant portion of Youth and Adult Education students do not have the habit of going to the theater. Theatrical practices also include dramatic writing from the perspective of contextualizing newspaper articles, with reference to the Newspaper Theater technique. The students discuss the journalistic material and elaborate the theatrical script for the scenic presentation. In short, in this project, the students developed a critical aspect and played the role of protagonist with the objetive of enhancing their participation in the teaching-learning process.
