SUMMARY:

Identifying and understanding what individuals think, what their values and beliefs are, and what possible attitudes they may have in relation to specific situations or in relation to specific groups is essential for predicting intervention actions or analyzing interpersonal relationships between the various actors. The study of social representations allows us to understand how individuals deal with cultural differences and various interpersonal relationships. It represents a branch of research and theorization in both social psychology and sociology, which also work in an interdisciplinary way. In the field of Social Psychology, we have Moscovici, who coined the term theory of social representation – TRS. This research aims to identify and analyze the social representations of educators in relation to adolescent students who are in the context of socio-educational measures through qualitative research, in addition to comparing the data with another study carried out in 2012 with the same theme. The main understanding tool will be content analysis and prototype analysis. 71 educators from different schools in the Federal District participated in the research. The data collection modality will be the application of the TALP – Free Word Association Test and an open questionnaire.
