This study aims to relate the bonds established and their consistency, or not, between adolescents and socioeducators, throughout the practices undertaken in the socioeducational system, in an open environment, in the Federal District. The methodology adopted was of a qualitative nature, with documentary research and with the help of a questionnaire as a resource for data collection, which was directed to agents and specialists from the Open Service Departments of the Federal District. Considering the demarcations of studies on the bond, originating from Psychology, Pedagogy and Sociology, it is clear that bonding occurs from an early age. However, it is also possible to verify when reading studies in the area of policies and socio-education, that the social stereotype of adolescents in compliance with socio-educational measures contributes to the crystallization of stigmas that strengthen marginalization and the continuity of a system oriented towards punishment and exclusion. In a systematic way, the analysis of the responses to the questionnaire allows us to indicate that some of the socio-education professionals focus their attention and performance on the formal care process and others find meaning in building bonds from the first contact with the adolescent in the unit. Words such as: respect, empathy, welcoming, qualified listening, identification of singularities, were pointed out in relation to practices that confirm the creation of a bond with young people in socio-educational care
