SUMMARY:

This research work aims to situate Frevo's teaching proposal in Physical
Education classes in Early Childhood Education, having as its theoretical basis
the critical-overcoming approach and based on historical-critical pedagogy.
Having as a guiding axis the approach of students to historically produced
cultural manifestations such as Frevo, considered Intangible Cultural Heritage
of Humanity, in order to re-signify it according to their reality, I will have as a
starting point the references that children have in relation to to popular dance
and how Frevo, as a manifestation of body culture, can be worked
pedagogically in Physical Education classes in Early Childhood Education,
because as the Coletivo de Autores (1992) cites, it is necessary to “rescue
Brazilian culture in the world of dance through the thematization of cultural
origins, whether indigenous, white or black, as a way of awakening the
student’s social identity in the project of building citizenship”.
And so, having as a research problem: what references do children have
in relation to popular dance and based on that, what would be the potential,
between limits and possibilities of teaching frevo in physical education classes
in early childhood education at a school of the Federal District? This work
attempts to answer these questions based on the reality of the public education
network in the Federal District, with the location of this research being the Early
Childhood Education Center 03, located in the city of São Sebastião, Brasília,
Federal District, with a 2nd grade class. period of early childhood education.
Finally, two fundamental elements will be present in this work:
interdisciplinarity and playing (playfulness), where the data obtained will be the
result of the application of a Pedagogical Intervention Workshop of 7 classes,
which is organized into 1 class for diagnostic assessment, which will aim to
collect information about what knowledge children already have about dance,
popular dance and within which they already have knowledge and identify
themselves as Frevo within this context. and 6 classes to develop the proposed
theme (teaching Frevo).
