Anti-racist educational practices are necessary in everyday school life, as it is urgent to combat all types of racial violence as well as historical reparation actions to rescue the culture and identity of black people. Body culture represents the corporeal materiality of historically produced knowledge, thus being a fundamental element for pedagogical actions that highlight African culture. This research, within the scope of the Professional Master's Program in Physical Education on a National Network (ProEF), is qualitative and will be carried out at Escola Classe 18 do Gama, a public school in the Federal District, with students in the fifth year of the Initial Years of Elementary School. The research has as its research problem: how can School Physical Education, based on knowledge of body culture, contribute to the construction of anti-racist education? The general objective: to analyze and critically reflect on the limits and potential of School Physical Education for the construction of an anti-racist education. Specific objectives: develop and evaluate a pedagogical proposal for african dances based on the principles of anti-racist education with elementary school children from a public school in the Federal District; identify and understand what and how children appropriate knowledge of African body culture. The following research instruments will be used: participant observation; conversation circles; dynamics; student record book. The next steps of the research will be: studies and training with the pedagogue teacher; participant observation with students, and the development of a pedagogical proposal and educational product focusing on african dance as an element of body culture.
