THE USE OF A TEACHING UNIT FOR PEDAGOGICAL INTERVENTION AS CONTINUING TRAINING IN THE WORK ENVIRONMENT
Continuing Education; School Physical Education; Teaching Model.
Formation is something that belongs to the individual and presents its development in view of the teacher's trajectory, the past, the present and the perspectives for the future in the career. In a world marked by constant and rapid changes, critical reflections on actions, paradigmatic stagnation and the development of new pedagogical practices are some of the main challenges faced by teachers, which makes it essential to discuss the importance of Continuing Education for the development of a teaching identity. The main objective of this work is to analyze the results of the experience of an initiation protocol to Invasion Team Sports, based on the emerging approaches of Sport Pedagogy, applied as Continuing Education and in the workplace for a public-school teacher in the Federal District. Pedagogical research was conducted with a collaborative approach and with methodological characteristics of a qualitative case study from the application of a Didactic Unit of Pedagogical Intervention (UDIP) in a beginner’s basketball class, together with the collaborating teacher at his place of work. The didactic unit was conceived from game-centered approaches, with the objective of teaching the offensive tactical principles of basketball to counteract the practice of the collaborating teacher so that reflection would generate content for continuing education. The application of the UDIP consisted of sequential steps, initiated by inviting the teacher and the school and observing the context and the pedagogical practice used by the teacher. Then, initial training was carried out with the collaborating professor and subsequent application of the six classes of the protocol, performed in close mentorship to the researcher. Through this experimentation, an attempt is made to recognize the important elements that can qualify this proposal as a constituent of the continuing education process for teachers.
