SUMMARY:

Integral Education is a pedagogical concept that seeks to guarantee the multidimensional
educational process of subjects, including and interconnecting the intellectual, physical,
emotional, social and cultural aspects. It consists of developing a collective project where
all components of the school community (students, teaching group, school management,
families and local social group) have effective participation in its conception,
implementation and evaluation and must overcome the simplistic idea of extending the day
and of the student's full-time stay at school units. This conception understands the school
as the basis for promoting inclusion, equity, and the formation of critical and autonomous
social individuals for a society that seeks to provide learning opportunities through diverse
experiences that provide integral development centered on the student and their
individuality.
Escola Parque 303/304 Norte, an educational unit belonging to the Full-Time Education
Program of the State Department of Education of the Federal District, has a Pedagogical
Political Project based on Historical-Critical Pedagogy and seeks to base its activities on
an interdisciplinary perspective between components of the language area planned for
Elementary Education developed at this school: Physical Education, Theater, Visual Arts
and Music.
Considering that the PPP of Escola Parque 303/304 Norte has as its parameter a
comprehensive education of an interdisciplinary nature between the areas of Visual Arts,
Theater, Music and Physical Education in accordance with the legal and methodological
bases adopted by SEEDF (Government of Federal District, 2023), this research intends to
(1) verify why interdisciplinarity – despite being the premise of an integral education of
the human being and being emphasized in the PPP of Escola Parque 303/304 Norte – is not
yet fully developed in its educational context, (2) identify the teaching team's view on
aspects that (un)viable the continuous execution of projects interdisciplinary between the
four areas offered at the institution, (3) identify the participation of Physical Education – as
a mandatory curricular component and area of knowledge with its own object of study –
and its teachers within the context of the interdisciplinary projects proposed by the
School's Pedagogical Political Project Park 303/304 North. Therefore, the purpose of this
research will be to analyze the view of the faculty of the institution participating in this
investigation in relation to the interdisciplinarity foreseen in its guiding institutional
document (PPP) and the impressions regarding the interdisciplinary educational projects
developed between Physical Education and other areas language (Theatre, Music and
Visual Arts), through a proposal for pedagogical action constructed by these teachers on an
interdisciplinary basis, which will be the subject of an educational product to be
constructed based on this research.
