Methodology for Improving Process Management and Maturity with Business Intelligence (MAGEMPRO-BI): A Case Study at the Office of the Attorney General

The Office of the Attorney General (AGU) plays a key role in the legal protection of the Brazilian State, seeking safe, effective, and innovative solutions to meet the demands of society. In line with its mission and vision, the AGU faces the challenge of raising the level of process maturity, improving risk management, and optimizing the use of management information. This dissertation presents a research that addresses these issues through a mixed research approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. The study aims to validate process mapping procedures, develop specific performance indicators, and improve data extraction methods, focusing on the AGU's technology infrastructure. In addition, it aims to implement a validated model in a specific work process, "Provision of information from the Presidency of the Republic to the STF," and evaluate its impact. The research is based on a comprehensive literature review, covering topics such as business process management, risk management, process maturity and management information. The methodology involves document analysis, quantitative data collection and statistical analysis. The expected results include raising the level of process maturity, enhancing risk governance and improving management information in the AGU. This dissertation aims to contribute to the understanding and improvement of organizational practices in the AGU, as well as providing relevant insights for government organizations seeking to optimize risk management and the effective use of management information. The research aims to align the AGU with the strategic objectives of the Brazilian State, promoting greater efficiency, security and innovation in its fundamental role for the benefit of society.
