THE STRATEGIC ROLE OF DATA GOVERNANCE IN GOVERNANCE TO ACHIEVE GAINS IN BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION TRANSFORMATION CAPABILITIES OF A BRAZILIAN FINANCIAL INSTITUTIO

There is a lack of a systematic approach to identify whether and under what conditions data governance´s adoption by financial institutions can leverage, beyond regulatory compliance, their businesses transformation capabilities. This work aims to propose steps so that data governance could play a strategic role in leveraging gains in a Brazilian financial institution´s transformation capability. In addition to the theoretical contribution, this work comprises a literature review, developed from the Theory of the Consolidated Meta-Analytic Approach - Temac, which identified the most relevant information which also add the greatest value to this research topic. To test proposed research model, it will be used target audience’s research data of 1566 managers of a Brazilian financial institution. Through partial least squares structural equations modeling (PLS-SEM). The intent is to reveal test results for the presented hypotheses., which allows applications to be formed by small, cohesive and independent services.
