SUMMARY:

This artistic research aims to investigate the participation of professional actors and actresses and/or those with training in performing arts, within the context of the area of Realistic Simulation in Medicine, as a simulated patient, based on studies in both the areas of performing arts, as well as in the areas of health and education. In the performing arts, the dissertation is based on the studies of Raquel Júlio Mastey to compare terms in the area of medicine and contextualize actors and actresses in realistic simulation; in Emerson de Barros Rossini's dissertation to relate artists' situations within the medical teaching context; and Eleonora Fabião to explain specific terms in this area. In studies on education, Adilson Ledubino and Letícia Fructuoso relate and highlight the importance of the junction between medical education and practice. In the areas of health, Marcelo Schweller, Saionara Nunes de Oliveira and Mateus Henrique Meska explain how activities work within the field of Realistic Simulation in Medicine. The methodology used encompasses a bibliographical review, a qualitative and comparative analysis of a practical Realistic Simulation Training activity (extension project), and the author's personal and professional experience for seven years in the field of Realistic Simulation in Brasília. The results and conclusion reached are still in progress, as are their future implications, as this is the qualification work of the dissertation.
