SUMMARY:

The learning and socialization process in theater classes at school can be a difficult and painful path for some students. As a teacher/artist/researcher, I realize the need to expand the theoretical discussion on this subject. Thus, for the initiation of the basic principles of theater in school to occur more smoothly and gradually, there is herein a Pedagogical Proposal. From this reflection, the present work aims to analyze the possibilities of the Animation Theater associated with the Flipped Classroom, as pedagogical perspectives for the teaching of Performing Arts in the Third Cycle of Learning in a school of the Secretariat of Education of the Federal District. The Animation Theater can be understood as the act of giving the idea of "life" to inanimate elements, such as puppets, shadow characters, among others. The Flipped Classroom is seen as a classroom extension, where the student carries out a previous study of third parties established by the teacher. As a methodological approach, we use a qualitative exploratory case study, developed at the 101 Center for Basic Education, located in the administrative region of Recanto das Emas, Federal District, with students from the 6th to 9th grades of Basic Education. In this approach, we have the following methodological procedures: a Pedagogical Proposal containing 60 classes distributed over three years (20 classes for - 6th, 7th and 8th grades) on shadow theater, glove puppets and direct animation puppets; The students' use of the Flipped Classroom; Logbook record (by the students), audiovisual record of the theater classes; and applying three online questionnaires. For theoretical support there are the ideas of: Dewey (2010) and Larrosa (2022) on experience in art: Bergmann and Sams (2018) on Flipped Classroom; Aussubel (2000) and Hooks (2017) on learning and socialization at school; Carvalho (0000) about the Third Cycle; Amaral (2002, 2007, 2011), and on animation theater Amorós and Paricio (2005), articles from Móin-Móins Studies Magazine on Animated Forms of Theater and Fantoche - The Art of Puppets.
