TOLDA, MASK AND ESTANDARTE An analysis of strongs-objects in three scales of stagings in street
scenography; staging; space; territory; theatricality
This research intends to carry out a spatial analysis of stagings outside of institutionalized theatrical spaces, based on the study of the objects that constitute them and that manifest themselves in three different scales: the Tolda at the theater of Mamulengo, the Mask in Cavalo Marinho and the Estandarte in Maracatu de Baque Solto. These three objects, named here by strongs-objects, are considered focal points that provide the scale of its events and a reference for dimensioning the performance territory, or the dimension of theatricality. In the hypothesis of the scale of a staging in its materiality being a conforming part of the territory of a theatricality in a played or performed universe, the research makes an analysis of the scenography, scenic costumes, scenic objects and other fetures, combined with actions in space. For that, the investigation bring ways of scenography and clothing in a Brazilian Popular Culture; demonstrates the knowledge of the mastersChico Simões, José Grimário e Manoelzinho Salustiano; analyzes space systems, objects and action, according to the staging’s theatre and stagings in the street, the latter in accordance with procedures presented in A Natureza do Espaço (2008) by Milton Santos; analyzes the scale of events/performances where objects are used and creates a glossary. For this purpose, an embroidery methodology is proposed, to perceive the totality of a composition, not ignoring its reverse side, analogy for creation and making process, purpose that precedes the becoming of your drawing. This is a reading sequence. This is about a reading sequence of reading (textual, visual, memorial, experienced and others), represented in drawing analysis.
