SUMMARY:
With the thought focused on questioning how phenomenology could approach the creative processes, in order to better concentrate the configuration of objects in design, the Husserlian model of consciousness of objects is launched on the stages of creative processes seen through two authors in design: Lobach and Flusser, one representing the concrete manifestation while the other the abstract manifestations. The cube model is used by the German philosopher and mathematician Edmund Husserl to establish phenomenology as a method of science of essences. The application of the exam is based on the hypothesis that the information about the object is given by itself in its many manifestations, since all consciousness is consciousness of something and that essences are public. As a result, five procedural guidelines were generated, extracted from the formal structure of the objects of consciousness that may make possible this approximation between the two areas of knowledge. They are the guideline for: (1) evocation of information; (2) multiplicity of data; (3) data crossing; (4) apprehension of the phenomenon; (5) creative attitude. These were properly applied to the graphic analysis of an object-book "in-world" released by Blizzard Entertainment with the history of the online game franchise Diablo III: Book of Cain, object brought for analysis in this dissertation. The research highlights the importance of the briefing in creative processes, which in the light of phenomenology is a descriptive manifestation that allows the designer to reach information about the object that will come to fruition in a future time. Thus, the investigation carried out in this dissertation consists of the parallel between abstracting and concretizing and all the intermediate steps between the imagined object and the present object. Using bibliographical, qualitative and exploratory research, this research is based on the typological method, in which it compares phenomenology to design processes in order to find in this juxtaposition a possible way in which phenomenology can be used as a creative method. It was concluded that becoming aware of objects is part of the designer's creative experience. This discovery of the essence of an object that happens to the designer in the interaction with the project in its different manifestations - mental, descriptive and evident, is part of the creative dynamics and allows the designer to design multifaceted objects. The awareness of projects can allow graphic choices that are more consistent with the essence of things, but not only that, it also proved to be a powerful tool in the search for leveling between essences and appearances.
