Among other alterations typical of advanced age, pelvic organ prolapse (POP) stands out in gynecology outpatient clinics, as with the increase in life expectancy, there will be an increase in the incidence of genital prolapses in public services of 45% by 2030. Possible treatments for these patients with POP range from treatment with a pessary, pelvic physiotherapy with pelvic muscle strengthening, to a wide variety of surgeries. Objective: To analyze the clinical, epidemiological and surgical profile of patients who underwent surgery to correct pelvic organ prolapses in a Public Hospital in the Federal District, operated from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2019, as well as the influence of co-morbidities, advanced age, complaints of previous voiding and evacuation dysfunctions, relapse of POP in the postoperative prognosis, during the same hospitalization, in addition to an analysis of the waiting time for the surgery. Materials and Methods: This is a retrospective observational study, with data collected by reviewing medical records. Statistical analyzes will be performed, considering a significance level of p < 0.05. Expected results: It is expected to find the epidemiological, clinical and surgical profile corresponding to that exposed in the literature and the presence of co-morbidities. Obesity, the advanced degree of the prolapse and the Previous voiding and evacuation dysfunctions being predictive factors of poor prognosis in the postoperative evolution of patients undergoing POP correction surgeries.
