The functionality of road transport infrastructure is mainly due to the quality of the pavements network, so the search for solutions that are increasingly durable and economically sustainable has been a reality. In this vein, the behavior of asphalt mixtures incorporating RAP has been discussed and analyzed through studies over a period of time, and it has been observed that whether the percentages of incorporation are low or as high as 100%, the mixtures have shown favorable mechanical performance. On the other hand, the gain in stiffness contributes to a reduction in fatigue life, and the uncertainty regarding the activation of the binder remaining in the RAP has led to questions regarding the determination of the machining temperature and whether or not adhesion improvers are needed. Thus, this research proposes to carry out analyses to promote the advancement of the technique, with a view to obtaining parameters that guide the machining of recycled mixtures in ideal temperature ranges, in order to achieve mixtures with greater performance and less rigidity, thus consolidating an alternative to the recycling technique in establishing sustainable practices in pavement engineering. To this end, an advanced characterization of the types of binders that make up a recycled mix will be carried out, with a focus on obtaining parameters that describe the remobilization and activation of the binder remaining from the RAP.
