“The National Health Conference is the main democratic space for building public health policies in Brazil. With the participation of all civil society and government representatives, the broad debate forum is organized with the aim of evaluating, planning and setting actions and guidelines to improve the quality of public health services, providing a better quality of life for the entire population. In view of these policies and problems involving the health sector, an assessment of the National Health Conference delegates' knowledge of the National Oral Health Policy - Brasil Sorridente - is valid for greater inclusion of dentistry in the Conference, as well as critically alerting the delegates' thinking so that they can take the Oral Health agenda to the forums, which is still an incipient subject. The aim of this study was to use a data collection instrument to verify the knowledge of the delegates to the 16th National Health Conference about the National Oral Health Policy - Brasil Sorridente. The study design is observational, cross-sectional and descriptive. The sample was equal, made up of 50% users, 25% health workers and 25% managers. All the eligible delegates participating in the 16th CNS who agreed to answer the questionnaire were contacted. The questionnaire to store the contact with the Delegates was developed in “Google forms”, and the researchers were present during the 16th National Health Conference with the link to the contact questionnaire. Data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire, applicable from June 2022 to June 2024. The questionnaire with the questions was made available to the research participants via an email created for this purpose, where they had access to the collection instrument, as well as information about the general aspects of the research and the ICF. Of the 1.358 contacts made during the conference period, only 1.216 delegates agreed to take part in the survey. All the data was collected from the delegates who agreed to take part, and this data has already been tabulated to produce graphs and tables. At this stage of the research, descriptive statistics are being used to express the results as: mean, standard deviation (SD), quartiles, absolute and relative frequencies. Associations between variables will be tested using the corrected contingency coefficient, after consulting the Statistics Department at the University of Brasilia, taking into account the way the questionnaire was administered. The software being used for the analysis, making the graphs, tables and charts is R version 3.6.1. After all the statistical analysis and making the graphs and tables, the results will be described, discussed and concluded to close the thesis.”
