SUMMARY:

The diagnosis and treatment of injuries must be based on in-depth knowledge on the subject by health professionals, in order to minimize the sequelae arising from injuries. The high prevalence of alveolodental trauma justifies the search for prevention of this importante morbidity. Thus, knowing the factors involved with this event can help in understanding the reality about these injuries. In addition, it is essential to know the clinical performance of the different restorative techniques used for rehabilitation in patients with dental fractures, especially follow-up and longevity studies, in order to delineate new methodologies and for the development of new materials. The objective of this thesis is to epidemiologically analyze the distribution of alveolodental trauma in patients treated at the Dental Trauma Extension Project of the University of Brasília, linked to the Dental Clinic of the University Hospital of Brasília (HUB) and to carry out the follow-up of the treatment offered to patients affected by dental traumas such as coronary fractures, involving enamel and dentin. Having done that and based on the identification of the risk group, develop a material that serves as a tool to reach the target audience in order to reach as many people as possible to promote health (either reducing the prevalence of dental trauma, or minimizing the damages and sequelae caused by them).
