SUMMARY:

"With the increasing use of ceramics in restorative dentistry and the trends to prolong the longevity of these restorations through the use of minimal intervention techniques, the maintenance of ceramic pieces has been considered. Although there are many studies on the repair of metal-ceramic restorations, there are few on all-ceramic restorations of the lithium disilicate type. The objective of this study will be to systematically analyze, through a scoping review, the available literature on the different materials and protocols used for the repair of this ceramic type and to identify the existing gaps on this topic, and through an in vitro study ( microshear) to evaluate the influence of different restorative materials on ceramic repair. For the first study, searches were performed in the following databases: Cochrane, PubMed, EMBASE, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS), Scopus, Web of Science, Medline/BVS, BBO - odontologia/BVS, Cochrane, in addition to the gray literature present in Google and Proquest databases. The selection and blind analysis of the articles were carried out by two reviewers, considering the pre-established eligibility criteria at all stages. After the search, 12,317 articles were selected and with the help of the Rayan manager, duplicate articles were excluded. The titles and abstracts of 5,517 articles were read, of which 102 articles were read in full. 85 were excluded following the exclusion criteria and at the end 17 articles were eligible for this scoping review. Of these, only 3
exclusively address the influence of the restorative material on the repair of lithium disilicate ceramics. The results and discussion will be presented in the final work. For the in vitro study, eighty IPS E-max CAD® ceramic inserts (Ivoclar Vivadent CAD) will be crystallized, embedded in Carplast adhesive, polished with #150, #320, #600 and #1200 sandpaper and washed in a bath. ultrasonic. The specimens (N=80) will be randomly divided into two groups where 40 pellets will receive the makeup (+) and 40 will not receive (-). Then, they will be conditioned with 10% hydrofluoric acid for 20 seconds, washed and dried with an air/water jet and subjected to an ultrasonic bath, air jet drying, application of the adhesive system (two layers) and silane (two layers). Subsequently, with the aid of a silicone guide, the inserts will receive the restorative materials according to each group: conventional composite resin (RC- and RC+), conventional flow resin (RFC- and RFC+), self-adhesive flow resin (RFA- and RFA+) in cylinder format and light cured for 20 seconds. Half of the samples from each group will be stored in distilled water for 24 h at 37°C and the other half will be subjected to thermocycling (5,000 cycles, 5°C and 55°C), and after these times, they will be subjected to the microshear test on the EMIC universal testing machine. The results will be interpreted, presented and published at the end of the study."
