“Introduction: the concern with healthy and active aging discussed as a proposal and challenge for the Decade of Healthy Aging (2020-2030), at the World Health Assembly in August 2020, points to the improvement in the lives of elderly people, their families and communities through collective, governmental and societal actions, with health care that is integrated and centered on the person and primary health services that are sensitive to olderpeople, promoting access to care, considering oral health as a key indicator of general health in the elderly, and better integration of oral health care into general health care systems is needed. The general objective is to analyze how the access of institutionalized elderly to Oral Health Care in the Unified Health System (SUS) of the Federal District is effective. For thespecific objectives, it was defined by: characterizing, firstly, the Long Stay Institutions of the Federal District and the network of services; to identify oral health strategies andactions offered to institutionalized elderly in the Federal District; describe the clinical conditions and analyze the self-perception of oral health of institutionalized elderly people, and; elaborate a cartography of the therapeutic itinerary of the institutionalized elderly to oral health services. Finally, it is intended to know the facilitating factors and barriers to access to oral health care by institutionalized elderly. Methodology: This is a descriptive, cross-sectional study with a qualitative and quantitative approach to be carried out in six Long Stay Institutions (ILPI) in the Federal District and in the Basic Health Units in the territory where they are located. It will be a Case Study with mixed methods, consisting of documental analysis, interviews and epidemiological survey with oral clinical examination, with analysis of the results in triangulation. Expected Results: The expected results explained in the articles to be developed willprovide more clarity regarding the dynamics of the Oral Health Teams in the SUS and the strategies that are being or that could be carried out to care for these elderly people, in particular. It will, therefore, be fundamental, not only for the academic environment or for the development of science, but particularly for the management of the Federal Districtwith ways to be extended to other federative entities and instances that articulate such policies.”
