SUMMARY:

The scientific field of Public Health has been providing theoretical references so that Physical Education can reflect on health in its broader perspective. Health promotion shifts the focus from individual illness to people's life contexts, therefore, it is important to reflect on the current scenario of the city environment. The urban environment is characterized by socioeconomic, cultural and environmental transformations, and deficiencies in urban planning and management have negative impacts on the environment and people's quality of life. Cities, which should be places of vitality and equity, are made up of citizens who are orphans of policies that respect and guarantee their basic rights. This panorama can be modified through the insertion of humans at the heart of urban planning, which in Brazil is marked by the lack of an integrated and intersectoral vision. When envisioning fairer, healthier and more sustainable urban mobility, an efficient strategy is to prioritize active mobility, which despite being the mode most practiced by Brazilians, is also accompanied by many challenges, especially in the school context. An interesting way to encourage active school travel is to strengthen intersectorality with the purpose of collectively pointing out initiatives that contribute to changing the current culture and forming more active communities and healthier and more sustainable cities. The objective of this research is to encourage the creation of an intersectoral network to discuss and encourage active mobility in the school context of Anápolis (Goiás). The methodology consists of a qualitative approach, approaching an action research, to be carried out in the school context of Anápolis (Goiás) and the participants will be the Departments: Education, Health, Sports, Urban Planning, Public Security, and researchers who study the topic. An actor from each department will be asked to answer a half structured interview, in order to raise awareness about the issue and invite them to form an intersectoral network that aims to strengthen active school mobility. Collective meetings will be held to develop an action plan that points out solutions and proposes initiatives to stimulate the active school model. Furthermore, articles will be developed on the topic, relating active mobility to health promotion and healthy cities, as well as a results study that will aim to explore challenges and opportunities to establish an intersectoral network that promotes active school mobility.
