Public policies in the Federal District: actions to promote conciliation between educational training and sports training.

Sports training andtheathlete'scareer are areasofstudythat are increasinglypayingattentiontothecontextoftheimportanceoftheathlete's formal educationaldevelopment, notonlybyenhancingonebytheother, butbythevarioustransitionsthatoccurduringthesportscareer. Educational training competes withsports training duetothedialecticrelationshipoftheconcurrencyofthemandatoryschoolperiod in Brazilandthepredominant age group for startingsports training more efficientlytoreach a career as anathlete, creatingthe figure ofthestudent-athleteandfitting in inthetheoreticalconceptsof Dual-Careersports. Andtheathlete'ssuccessalsodependsonthecomplexinteractionofthesegears, making thisstudyaimtopropose a publicpolicy for the Federal Districtthattargets topromotethereconciliationbetweensports training andeducational training for studentsfrom local publicschools, usingas method a bibliographicalanddocumentary review, interviews with managers andexecutorsofpublic policies andinvestigationabouttheabsenceofidentificationof formal stateintervention, evenwithprovision in legislation. The thesiswillbedividedinto 5 chapters, thefirstone willpresenttheconceptsof Dual-Careerand its consequences, in additiontothejustificationandmethodologyofthestudy. Chapter 2 willapproach theinternationalpracticesof Dual-Careerandtheinstitutionsandorganizationsinvolved in Dual-Career in Brazil. The thirdchapterintendstostudythepublic policies andthe Sports Dual-Career in theSecretaryofEducationofthe Federal District. The fourthchapterwillbethecontentofunderstandingtotheprimaryrecipientofthe Sports Dual-Career, which are athletes-students in training withtheintentionof a career as anathlete. And, finally, thelastchapteristheproposalofanefficientpublicpolicyof Dual-Careersports forschoolsofthegovernmentofthe Federal District.
