SUMMARY:

To contribute to the promotion and preservation of local water resources and cooperate with sustainable development, the present study aims to identify effective solutions for water conservation in different types of commercial buildings in the Federal District. The study also aims to analyze the specific water consumption for these activities and verify the impact of conservation measures on the reduction of water resource exploitation in the Federal District. Based on the literature review, it can be concluded that there is a knowledge gap regarding the analysis of water consumption in commercial buildings, especially at the urban scale, where no related studies were found.
