SUMMARY:

The main objective of this research is to analyze the modes of production of anarchist female subjectivities in the writings of Maria Antônia Soares published between 1913 and 1920. It is about a woman who, in the context of the so-called “First Republic”, worked in some of the main centers workers, such as Santos, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, contributing to strikes, workers' associations, women's centers, modern schools and working-class newspapers. As a result of this objective, the research initially proposes to investigate his historical trajectory – militant and intellectual in anarchism, feminism, female education and, especially, in the labor movement of the time, in order to understand the conditions of production and circulation of his ideas. ideas, representations and discourses about women conveyed in the press. In the analysis of a significant sample of texts published by her in the working press, it is intended to identify and analyze themes related to women and gender issues, as well as the discourses and representations that constitute them, with a view to understanding the ways of subjectivation of women in anarchism and, especially, of “self-construction” as an anarchist woman. This discursive analysis of Foucauldian inspiration, attentive to the historicity of discourses, representations and knowledge, considering the ways in which power/knowledge are rooted in particular contexts and histories (HALL, 2016, p. 93), as well as to the historicity of the forms of production of subjectivities in different historical contexts. From this perspective, it is an analysis interested, above all, in the relationship between discourse, knowledge and power that crosses the production of rebellious and unsubmissive female subjectivities that escape the dominant gender devices of the time, constituting possible indications of reinvention of forms of existence of anarchist women.
